The SMART team of professionals includes psychologists,
business executives and former college athletes. Our
education and training at Stanford University and
the Mind Body Medical Institute at Harvard Medical
School have influenced the structure and content of
SMART’s programs and products. Our personal
experience as teachers, athletes, coaches, business
executives and health care professionals makes us
uniquely qualified to meet your individual needs.
Jean McPhee
As leader
of the SMART Performance team, Dr. Jean McPhee is
distinctively qualified as a performance psychologist.
Dr. McPhee’s background as a teacher, educational
consultant and learning disability assessment specialist
has shaped her understanding of learning and academic
performance. Her personal competitive experience on
the women’s golf team at Stanford University,
as a youth athletic coach and as a “mid-life”
marathon runner gives Dr. McPhee first-hand knowledge
of the competitive challenges of athletes. Individually
in her private practice and to groups in varied settings,
Dr. McPhee draws upon her personal experience and
professional background, including education at Stanford
University and training at the Mind/Body Medical Institute
of Harvard University School of Medicine.
Lynn McPhee
As Director
of Operations, Lynn McPhee brings her breadth of corporate
and competitive experience to the design and application
of SMART Performance products and services. A varsity
college athlete, soccer coach, triathlete and marathon
runner, Lynn continues to enjoy athletic competition.
Since her graduation from Stanford University, Lynn
has worked in both established and start-up companies,
consulted with multi-national organizations and developed
business strategies for individuals and corporations.
Lynn’s professional experience, her enthusiasm
for competition and her training in stress management
offer SMART Performance clients personalized training,
workshops and products to meet individual, team or
corporate needs.
